  42. Ok, yesterday I linked up, waited for my mail to finish downloading
  43. and then started GetTCP. After the news had finished I downloaded a
  44. couple of files from ftp.demon with AmiFTP. GetTCP gave 516 cps, ftp
  45. over 1400. Netstat said:

  50. However, in the evening I got 500-800 cps from ncftp connected to
  51. doc.ic.ac.uk with netstat saying

  54.     643 completely duplicate packets (314223 bytes)

  56. I then did link down, stopnet, startnet, link up to get news. I got

  58.     360 packets (124908 bytes) received in-sequence
  59.     7 completely duplicate packets (2472 bytes)

  61. and 1231 cps :-/ This morning I was back to 432 cps for news. Last
  62. night really threw me as every other time I've had fast ftp and slow
  63. news, although I don't usually use ncftp.

  65. I've even tried a "list all files since 20-jan-96" on each partition
  66. to see if there's any files changed in the last month that may have
  67. caused this. I'm getting *very* pissed off :-((
